A picture and a thought.
The Acid Murderer is to be my first more extensive story and the beginning of the series Unusual Murders. Two of five chapters are finished so far. Large parts of chapter three are already available in the German version, and translation is in progress.
Chapter one is still available as a SMIL animation.

This comic of three pages has some animation added. That is, mainly I'm animating
the viewBox attribute. If the timing is too slow and you haven't turned
javascript off, you can skip to the next panel by clicking the current panel.
The title page still has the text in german. I guess fixing that isn't that important either. Page 3 currently is composed of pixel graphics. I do intend to vectorize them and also to do some more animation on pages 2 & 3.
For the text I use uppercase letters of handfont by Benji Park which can freely be downloaded from the Open Font Library.
This is a single page which was created for a contest. The text is in german but honestly there is not much story about it anyway. It was made just to show the character. And also the overall look of the comic is interesting, I think. With the fog and swarming mosquitoes, all in greyscales with just two coloured highlights.
I've created a short animation on it which can be started by clicking the first panel.
I've decided not to use ink because in pencil drawing I was able to make the character's hair look just as untidy as I wanted it to be. The swarming mosquitoes are rendered with POV-Ray. You can download the SDL script which I had written for that task, if you like to. The text is set in the typeface Viner Hand ITC.
One more attempt at being humorous.
Could use some color. But I won't get to do that soon.
It has few words of text, which are in german. I don't care to change the writings. It's not an obstacle, really. Just see the images, and it is save to assume that every piece of text means just what you'd think.
